Sendai city government work on Halal-friendly food promotion business since 2016.
Now there is a map of Halal-friendly restaurants in Sendai. You can check it on the link below.
But if you live in Japan and save money, you will use supermarket for sure.
There are some halal shop in Sendai. I also put the link below.
If you like to but spices, or some typical sweets of halal, probably it’s good to go to small halal shops.
But if you want to but halal chicken, or some basic ingredients, I recommend you to go to Gyoumu super Ichibancho（業務スーパー一番町店）.
The concept of this supermarket is “Supplying with low price, everyday” and it’s basically for restaurants. But they’re open for everyone.
So the size of many packages are bigger than the ones we usually see at local supermarkets, but it’s really good deal. If you have a big family, I highly recommend you to use the supermarket.
You can find many halal food with good price here.
If you live far from Sendai, probably it’s not easy but I think it’s worth it.
